Mayor Lauds City Hospital Workers at Award Ceremony

Thirty-three outstanding workers from the various campuses of Taipei City Hospital received their trophies from Mayor Hau Lung-bin during an award ceremony on May 2.

On behalf of the city’s residents, Hau expressed his gratitude to the award winners for doing their part in maintaining the high standard of Taipei City Hospital.

He noted that when patients visit the doctor, they are usually worried and feel unsafe. These are important moments where timely assistance by the staff of hospitals can have a lot of positive effects.

Through the effort of the staff at Taipei City Hospital, the institution has done a great job in safeguarding the health of residents. He hopes that under the guidance of Superintendent Chang Sun-yran and each campus director, Taipei City Hospital will continue to uphold its medical standards.

The mayor added that within the limit of the City’s budget, the city government has appropriated the funds to finance overtime payment for the hospital’s medical staff. The city government is also working on securing additional funds for overtime bonuses for radiation therapists and administrative workers.

He also took the opportunity to thank the family members of hospital staff, noting that their support enables their loved ones to devote themselves to their positions.
